Built in the late 1930s as a preventorium for children at risk of pulmonary disease, the building included an operating room, a radioscopic unit, and a small chapel. During the Second World War, it was used as a hospital for wounded partisans. After the war, it returned to its original healthcare function and remained in use until the late 1960s, when it was permanently closed.
